The Build
This customer wanted their cold and drab back room converting into a warm and year-round usable space, a real extension to their home.
We started by ripping out the old fashioned polycarbonate roof and replacing it with a timber flat roof and fitting a beautiful 2.5x1.5m korniche roof lantern. A perfect roof structure, as not only does the lantern let in lots of light and really open up the room, but we were also able to get 160mm worth of sheet insulation into the roofmaking it much more usable in both summer and winter months. We also completely finished the room by adding more electrical sockets, LED downlights, new skirting board and even plastered and painted it too!
